Suggestion: Official site is slow and complex. Use that site's homepage to simply point to this discussion area on sourceforge. In effect get rid of the main site as having any useful function. On the homepage of the official site, state to use this Forum to find tutorials, get updates, report bugs, and get support.
In this sourceforge forum, create the 3 new sections: Updates from devs on the project, General, and Tutorials section.
This will help new users avoid trying to learn from the complex official site where so many different random tutorials are pointed to, many paid which is not what users of free software might expect. It gives a central place to get updates and post bugs.
Make this the hub of projectlibre because the current site will reduce the number of long term users in my suspicion because of it's problems, lack of organization, and segregation of the community through how it is designed (groups for different contents).

Thanks for the note.... yes, the http://www.projectlibre.org site has been far too slow. We are getting it fixed this week. A big shout out goes to Red Hat who are helping us...You will see a major improvement next week.

Yes, following a standard way (for open source projects) would also ease the learning curve for the whole project.
