After 6 year of previous post: It's necessary to enable custom installation.
Many modern (2020) notebook setups had C: drive, tiny, ssd + d: Drive, big, store apps like this

You can install to a different directory. I am on a Mac and when it has you drag to the Applications folder you can simply drag that to another folder. I run it out of a separate folder. On Windows you can choose directory..... One thing to note: some systems give a security warning and you need to go to Preferences and allow it to install
