Version 2.3 revision 2 Completed

Version 2.3 is the object-oriented implementation of the Project Timer system. With revisions 1 and 2 I've fixed a couple of bugs with the update. To remind everyone interested, I've updated the system to use objects because it's easier to maintain and reduces the amount of code. For instance, before the update the zip files were 431KB, now they are 289KB, and the updates in revision 1 and 2 only took a couple of minutes to complete rather than hours.

I'm now working on the calendar system that I wrote about in earlier news articles. This system will be linked throughout the Project Timer program. Each user will have his/her own calendar on their homepage and each project will have its own calendar. These calendars should allow customers and users to see scheduled events and I hope to incorporate an emailing system with the events. This feature may take some time to implement so please be patient.

Another new feature in mind is better graphing and reporting on projects. Gantt charts will be generated and detailed reports will be generated for projects. These reports will be output on printable pages with neat headers (not customizable).

You should expect the report feature in version 2.4, but the calendar system may take longer.
