Hi Michael,
The following modules are closed-source and installed on the L10n server:
With L10n Strings:
intranet-freelance
intranet-freelance-invoices
intranet-freelance-rfqs
intranet-freelance-translation
Without L10n Strings:
intranet-audit
intranet-reporting-cubes
intranet-reporting-dashboard
intranet-reporting-finance
intranet-reporting-translation
intranet-trans-quality
To summarize: Only the "Freelance Module" is a closed-source module with
(a serious number of) localization strings associated. The reports are not
localized as far as I remember.
Cheers!
Frank

Hello Frank,
I don't mind translating them, but I understand that other localizers would
prefer to stick just to the open source modules.
Can you install the modules on the localization server?
Best,
Michael

Hi LoCo,
Yes, you are right. This is a strange situation, "OSS collaboration" while
some parts
of the code are closed-source...
The intranet-reporting-cubes and intranet-reporting-finance packages are
closed source,
plus the intranet-freelance and intranet-freelance-rfq packages. However,
the reports are
not localized at all AFAIK. So the intranet-freelance* packages are a
strange case.
We "sell" them because we need the money to keep the company working.
=> I wouldn't mind if you don't translate the packages. If they are
commercial then we
should pay for it...
=> It's only a few strings, the commercial packages are pretty small
usually...
Cheers!
Frank

Are "closed-source" packages installed in the localization server as well ?
I wasn't able to identify them...
Best,
Michael

Hi Guys,
Please, please, please CC the project-open-localization group on all such
communication. The list is NOT made for communicating success, but for the
process to get there. Maybe there is another translator having the same
issue? Or somebody else asks himself if anything at all gets done in the
list, because there is no traffic.
This type of working with mailing lists is the _essence_ of open-source
communication. It's important not to treat the list with too much
"respect"...
Cheers!

Great, Klaus. Thanks a lot.
I have already imported them. Now only a hundred strings need to be
translated. Next week the Italian L10n will be ready (if no urgent
project comes inbetween).
By the way, Michael, if you need reliable and tech-savvy Italian
translators, let me know!
Viele Grüsse

Hi Frank,
I think that some Italian translations are missing from the current
L10n site. In the past we translated all the strings from the
"closed-source" modules, such as Intranet-Freelance.
I have attached the corresponding zip to this message.
Would you mind
importing them into the system? (If attachments don't work here, I
have bcc you).
Best regards
Marco Cevoli
