    Hi,

is there any way to prevent the fact that when you import a Ganttproject file into PO the tasks dates don't take into account week-end? The result of this is that the tasks are getting shorter.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I assume that ]po[ will import the task start- and end dates from GP "as is". Could you please verify that this is correct or incorrect?

]po[ currently doesn't contain its own scheduler. This will change in V4.0 with the integration with "TaskJuggler", but this may still take several months in order to work correctly.

    Cheers!

    Hi Frank,

    Thanks for feedback!
I' ve verified also with demo server that imported GP files have different dates.
    Tasks are shorter once imported.

    Cheers,
    Andrea

    Hi,

i am facing the same issue. I am quiet sure that the problem results from the duration calculation of Ganttproject in combination with ]popopo[ will be on 2012/04/11. It would be nicer to import start and end date "as is"…

I hope i could help to fix this problem.

    Cheers,
    natrown

    Hi Natrown,

Thanks a lot for your analysis!
Could you please open up a Bug Request ticket here on SF and add:
    - You GanttProject schedule
    - A screenshot of GanttProject showing the schedule
    - A screenshot of the ]po[ page?

Could you please also try on http://po40demo.project-open.net to see
if the same issue appears in V4.0?

With this information I can promise you that we'll work on the issue for
V4.0. We're quite reluctant to modify V3.5 now because it's soon to be
replaced and it also has a quite stable status now…

    Bests,
    Frank
