In the game you must make way through endless hordes of undead enemies. To stop them from eating your brain, you have both a close-combat and a long-range weapon at your disposal. All weapons have unlimited ammo.
By killing enemies and passing game levels you earn experience points, which bring you closer to a level up. Each level increase gives skill points, which you can distribute among your health, long-range weapon or close-combat weapon abilities. Every X levels you are given a choice between a special long-range or close-combat skill.
To evade any hazards you can jump over and even destroy some of them.
A health bar shows your current condition, which you can modify by picking up various items.
A basic inventory enables you to equip items that you looted from the ground or secret stashes.
The desired game experience is similar to that of Metal Slug, Contra and partially Castlevania.
