Hi all - I just got an MP7 last night that's on 1.31, and I printed out a manual and have been working through it. I'd like to get Prodatum working for patch editing, but where can I find the latest/most stable software for the MP7? A number of the functions in the Instant Gratification section of the manual don't work (ie no Demo mode, programming triggers for multiple arps doesn't work as described etc), so I'm hoping that a software update will correct these, and get things ready for Prodatum. Also if anyone knows a good only user forum for Command Stations in particular, I'd love to know. Any guidance/links are much appreciated, thanks! JM |

Hi,
I recently installed the X-LEAD ROM in my Proteus 2000 and since then (I
think) prodatum crashes on startup. I've tried clearing out the
prodatum-config directory but it doesn't seem to help. Prodatum still
works quite happily on my Virtuoso-2000 (which also has an extra ROM in
it, but not the XL). The Proteus is connected to the MIDI ports of a
Focusrite Saffire Pro40 interface.
I'm happy to try things to help debug the problem if you have any ideas.
The crash report (the thing I'm supposed to send to Apple, LOL) is
below, if that's helpful.
Thanks
Chrissie

Hi Casey I'm not sure what the Logic instrument file looks like, but you can certainly get a list of the patch names from my program called, obviously enough, 'ReadNames" http://www.bwalk.com.au/ReadNames/ReadNames.html All the best Royce On 20/02/2016 12:54 PM, casey dunn wrote: > HI folks, > what are your techniques for moving patch names from your Proteus to > your sequencer? in my case I would like to get them into Logic. > > ---------------------------------------------------- > (aggregation account, which means I check it every few days for email > from various accounts) > ca...@gm... <mailto:ca...@gm...> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Site24x7 APM Insight: Get Deep Visibility into Application Performance > APM + Mobile APM + RUM: Monitor 3 App instances at just $35/Month > Monitor end-to-end web transactions and take corrective actions now > Troubleshoot faster and improve end-user experience. Hello Janus and everyone! I have a strange issue that I never used to have before. I've tried this on some older versions too and still have the same problem (v2.00, v2.xx.rcXX) Every time I open Prodatum I get the open device prompt. My configuration is all there and midi connects so I can even play my Audity 2000 (v2.01). The problem is that that the 'Open' button never activates. I can't actually get into the editor anymore. All I can do is hit close, which shuts Prodatum down. What can I do to fix this? Thanks! |

Hi casey, prodatum saves a profile for every Sysex ID you use. To switch the device (and profile) you should just need to select the SysexID of the device in the open dialog. Your approach (using the -c option and create a copy of the App Folder) should also work. About the refresh problem...I haven't seen that yet. I am still running Snow Leopard though. Might be an OS issue. Unfortunately I don't have access to a newer Apple OS machine so I can't compile a version for you to try. There is no bulk-saving patches functionality I am afraid. Cheers and a happy new year :) Jan On 30-Dec-15 22:08, casey dunn wrote: > Crew, me again. > > How do we specify a configuration to use under OS X? True on the sysex dump, but I am really liking the utility of the individual file names sorted by emu patch type presented to me by my file system! :) being to scan a list looking like: bts_goober1 bts_slaphappy led_laser_eyeballs led_badFlightPath is super handy ---------------------------------------------------- (aggregation account, which means I check it every few days for email from various accounts) ca...@gm... Crew, me again. How do we specify a configuration to use under OS X? I'm using El Capitan, btw, and it's fine so far for ProDatum -- here's what I think I would do to do this. 1) opooen the prodatum package 2) navigate to Contents/MacOS/ 3) open the bash script 'launch' in a handy text editor 3.1) add the -c option and I suspect I would have to then duplicate and rename the prodatum app to reflect which machine it was going connect to. ---------------------------------------------------- (aggregation account, which means I check it every few days for email from various accounts) ca...@gm... |

hey jay, you can't have it both ways. sadly prodatum does not know when you change some parameter on the hardware. but there was a way to tell prodatum to re-request the current edit buffer (something like right or middle click the channel buttons). unfortunately i think i have removed that feature for some reason. jan On 22-Oct-15 21:48, uPPlifT wrote: > hello all, > > wrestling all night to get my head around it > it turns out that naming takes place in the top box (file-edit-window...) > > i want to use both @ the same time > prodatum as editor sends changes back to my MP7 > but how do i send changes made on the HW to prodatum? > > -not only at inital startup - allthough this is not really the case ; > you have to point+click a program to effectively load it in prodatum... > (why?)- > > this to get best of both worlds... > > greetings from belgium, > jay > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > _______________________________________________ > Homepage: http://prodatum.sf.net > > prodatum-users mailing list > pro...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/prodatum-users > |

hello all, wrestling all night to get my head around it it turns out that naming takes place in the top box (file-edit-window...) i want to use both @ the same time prodatum as editor sends changes back to my MP7 but how do i send changes made on the HW to prodatum? -not only at inital startup - allthough this is not really the case ; you have to point+click a program to effectively load it in prodatum... (why?)- this to get best of both worlds... greetings from belgium, jay |

Hi crew, I just picked up a charmingly beat up faceless Proteus module, and it identifies itself as a Virtuoso upon boot. However it has a Composer and and XL-1 ROMs inside, according to our guiding light >prodatum.< That's a bonus as far as I am concerned. I have found that user patch zero works fine, but the rest of the user patches are silent. Once I scroll up to ROM patches I have sound again. This is both with the front panel and >prodatum.< Demo sequences run fine. eyeballing the patches they seem fine. am I missing something? Hi Jan, congrats on the new version. Both I and my XL-7 thank you. I had a problem that initially tripped me up. You send the Global volume setting. It overrides the front panel knob and on my machine turned off all sound. Hi just felt like expressing thanks for the software (also made a

which up until now I had only been playing using the pre-sets since
scrolling through the endless options was so daunting. Am so happy to
find out that I am not stuck learning the ins and outs via a 2x24
alphanumeric display! Now I can start exploring all the nuances of the
Proteus system in big screen comfort!
appreciate your toils Janus - keep up the good work, Shane
