hey jay,

you can't have it both ways. sadly prodatum does not know when you 
change some parameter on the hardware.

but there was a way to tell prodatum to re-request the current edit 
buffer (something like right or middle click the channel buttons). 
unfortunately i think i have removed that feature for some reason.
