I would like to specify a higher number of items in the Play/Pause button pull-down tab as I switch between many project/tasks.

I am happy to report that this is already possible.

Choose "C > Tools > Preferences > Advanced." Add a setting with the name pauseButton.historySize and a larger integer value such as 30. Save/Apply this change, then restart the Process Dashboard.
