Hi! I´m having an issue with a project.
Our Planning Manager had to relocate to a different computer after the TSP launch.
A few days later, we realized that the new computer had a different version of Team Dashboard installed. We reinstalled the correct version. However, we accidently used the option that creates a Non-TSP project.
We detected our mistake because the registered defects wouldnt show up on the Team Dashboard. In order to solve this, we created a new TSP project and imported the backup data, but the Rollup Plan Summary is showing zeroes in most topics.
Would you kindly recommend some course of action to troubleshoot this roll-up plan summary issue?
    Any feedback is welcome.
Thank you very much in advance.

In your description, it sounds like you've made a number of mistakes. But it's difficult for me to tell which mistakes you actually made without very precise words describing the series of steps that you performed.

When a Planning Manager, team leader, or coach installs the Process Dashboard, they are encouraged to click the "Tools for Team Leaders" option. When they do this, the installer will ask them for the location of the "Team Dashboard Configuration Directory."

In the recommended approach, the Team Dashboard Configuration Directory is stored on a shared network drive. If you used that approach, then the Planning Manager could have very easily moved to a new computer by running the installer on the new computer, selecting the "Tools for Team Leaders" option, and reentering the network path to the existing Team Dashboard Configuration Directory when prompted.

From your description, I can't tell whether you did that, or whether the Planning Manager placed the Team Dashboard Configuration Directory on their local computer. If they placed the file on their local computer, they could move it to the new computer (or even better, to a shared network directory) by copying files as described in the FAQ http://www.processdash.com/static/help/Topics/Troubleshooting/FAQ.html#MoveData.

But it sounds like you didn't do either of those things. Instead, you created a brand new Team Dashboard on the new computer. And then, it sounds like you created a brand new Team Project within that Team Dashboard. Each time you run the Team Project Setup Wizard, you are creating an entirely new project. So of course your brand new project won't be displaying data from the original project.

If the planning manager still has access to the old computer that was in use during the TSP Launch, I would recommend these steps:

    1. Go back to that old computer and open the Team Dashboard.

    2. In the Team Dashboard, choose "Help > About Process Dashboard > Configuration"

    3. The Configuration tab will include a paragraph stating the location of the team configuration directory.

      • If this directory is on the local hard drive, move it to some location on the network.
      • If this directory is already on the network, make a note of the location.
    4. Now go to the Planning Manager's new computer. Run the Process Dashboard installer again. Choose the "Tools for Team Leaders" option. When you are prompted for the Team configuration data directory, enter the network directory you identified or created in step 3.

    5. Finish the installer and create shortcuts. Now, the Team Dashboard shortcut should open a Team Dashboard that contains the correct project.

    6. In the Team Dashboard, try performing a Sync to WBS. If it succeeds, all is well. Otherwise, it may print a message stating that it cannot find the project data files. That message would include a statement about where it expects the files to be. If this directory is given with a drive letter (for example, "T:\path\to\project"), make certain that drive is properly mapped on the Planning Manager's computer.
