Hi,

PRO already has PRO:000003968 ! alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme.

Could we add:

alkaline phosphatase of hepatic origin
alkaline phosphatase of bone origin
leukocyte alkaline phosphatase

Thanks !

George

    Hi Georgios,
From what I can gather, the tissue-nonspecific isozyme is the same as the bone and hepatic forms. A note in UniProtKB entry P05186 says this:

"In most mammals there are four different isozymes: placental, placental-like, intestinal and tissue non-specific (liver/bone/kidney)."

Please let us know if this is incorrect.

    Hi Darren,

thanks for looking at this. I agree they do not present different isoforms - we need to refer to them however but I guess that asking PRO to get these in might be inappropriate. I can always post compose them using an anatomy ontology but I thought it's worth to ask whether you would consider having these.

    Many thanks !

    George

Don't give up on us yet! There is still more looking to do. We're trying to pull out some papers that could tell us the correct relationships.

Going through old requests and closing those that were finished long ago or marking as "pending" those that await input from the requester. If your request is marked Pending, please advise as to whether the request has been satifactorily addressed or is no longer needed.
