2017-01 Add csvtickinterval in INI xml file (default is to save an entry every 1.0 sec); Add Trip2 button and display in Main Window (works like a stopwatch with auto reset)
This new version adds accumulated fuel usage "tank gal" to the main window. Remember to click the reset button at each fillup. Also added is the "this trip" time, which resets automatically each time the Stop button is pressed.
The window layout of this latest version is redesigned to be displayed on the Prius MFD. Development has been shifted to MinGW with some Windows batch files added. Some additional work may be needed for building on Linux.
This new release revives the optional Lite version (fewer gauges displayed but all data still logged). New feature: now the default path for log files can be changed by the user. Roll mode history display added to MG1 & MG2 kW gauges.
This is a major update release. Thanks to the folks at the FLTK general discussion group, the usage of FLTK has been improved significantly. Now the native Windows version performs as well as the Cygwin version, and the "log to csv" function re-plays the drive data while converting the log to a csv file. New gauge types are added to show recent histories of various temperatures and power outputs of the engine, re-gen braking and friction braking. Average MPG gauge now shows the history of MPG each mile of the last 20 miles, similar to the Prius MFD display but more useful. New formula and command files for "request only" mode for gen 2 Prius are included. Both windows native and Cygwin executables are included in the download, so are the corresponding NetBeans IDE configuration files.
This new version adds capability to read generic DTCs. The Gauge Window is changed to wide format.
Happy holidays! This version adds a brake light indicator.
Added Lite version (fewer gauges displayed) courtesy of nh7o @ PriusChat. Added Windows native binaries. Fixed some minor bugs. See Readme.txt for details.
An experimental version was accidentally included in the zip file. Please download the updated version from the same folder.
This is a major update release. PriiDash now can be used in any car that supports standard OBD-II interface. Customizable commands and formulas can now be configured by the end user to selectively decode and display data to suit individual user preferences. See the project home page http://priidash.sourceforge.net/ for more details and new installation/usage instructions. See the readme file for changelog.
Added engine torque from 0x348 and odometer from 0x53F. Fine tuned ODO fudge factor. Added line/sec and query/sec gauges (mainly for debugging/benchmarking). Minor graphical beautification.
This version adds a new gauge PSDPWR, short for Power Splitting Device Power distribution gauge. Powers from MG1, ICE, and MG2 are displayed and accumulated in sequence to show both the power from each individual component and the combined net power output. Very cool feature we think. We also added different run modes such as ATMA only, request only, and two OBD-USB devices running in parallel. These are mainly for various experiments.
Ubuntu version still needs shared libraries (FLTK and Boost-thread). Other changes and additions: 2011-12-20 Added workaround for T spirit models' cat Ts. Made PSD gauge vertical bar color same as corresponding RPM value box color. Foolproof LogToCSV step size. Fix line style issue due to poor FLTK implementation in W32. Fix missing gaspdlcount++;. Add gas pedal and brake gauges. Add regen kW etc.
Many thanks to SteveDH at PriusChat.com who made the Windows version working.
User can now enter some initialization parameters in the main control window, which will be auto saved in INI_Settings.xml file (auto created; no longer need ODO.txt): odometer, serial (COM) port name and baud rate, fuel and distance units. Added some tool tips.
Yesterday there was an Boost dll issue for users who just use the executable out of the zip file without re-compiling themselves. Today's release contains a pre-compiled executable in the zip file that resolves that issue by statically linking to all libraries so no need to depend on specific dlls at run time.
A new user found the cygwin boost library has changed from 1.43 to 1.46 and as a result the precompiled executable included in the file download won't run. He found a workaround by removing 1.46 and installing 1.43. We are still working on a more permanent fix.
Formula for hvBT and hvBairT now correct.
Add more precision in recording hvBV.
Minor improvement in fool proofing (file not found etc).
Include binaries of 2M, 1M, 500K, and 115200 baud rate. The latter two lower baud rates may not work.
Added some more gauges/car data: EVAP and misfire.
Changed formula (still guessing) for hvBT and hvBairT.
Rearranged gauges in window.
Changed baud rate to 1Mbps. (2Mbps binary included)
The first version of PriiDash(TM) is now released (2011-06-26). Enjoy!
PriiDash(TM) project is launched today 2011-06-08 and under active construction. Once everything is ready I will post another news item. Thank you for visiting! TeamPrii
