As I recall, the replication was not quite ready for prime time; more of a proof-of-concept. There was someone actively working on it with Klaus to make it more robust, but that seemed to either go nowhere or it was applied to Prevayler 3.0 (in a separate codebase than 2.x.x), which was abandoned. Don't take my word for it, because I'm just working off of memory (and never used replication much myself), but I don't think that it is recommended to use the replication stuff in a production environment. I guess then the question is, are there plans to make replication more robust and production ready?
