Which is why I think crashing is a good alternative to a food taster for systems that don't want or can't support the overhead. I do agree with you about snapshotting before upgrades. So we are considering snapshotting on shutdown (for your reason) and backing up the snapshot on startup (to provide a kind of 'undo' for users). Justin T.
