QoL Data Parse Error

This has been a very good tool, including the current iteration, v 0.73b. However, suddenly it's giving me a "QuantumOnline.com data parse failed" error, with an instruction to see the error log "...\PreferredSearch.exe.log." No such log is generated, though. I'm hoping this can be fixed easily; I'd like to be able to resume using it.

I have been unable to replicate this problem with v0.73b. If you have a problem accessing the http://quantumonline.com website, that might be related to this error. If they had a temporary data problem they corrected (their data is hand-entered) then the error shouldn't occur if you try again. If your login data is stale in a way that has changed on the QuantumOnline website (this has happened sometimes in the past, but is a rare occurrence), you should find a file named "cookies.txt" which is located in different locations depending on the version of Windows (Vista and recent versions should be at: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Preferred Search\cookies.txt if you enter your username for YOURUSERNAME) and delete the file, then restart the PreferredSearch application (after restarting you will need to enter your login information which must be correct for http://quantumonline.com). Tell me if you continue to have problems.

Mr Truog,
I just tried it again, after uninstalling and reinstalling v0.73b. I got
the same error.
I've had no problem logging in to QuantumOnline. I did find the error
log; it's in the same file as the cookies.txt, rather than in the dialog
box's claim; here are the contents:
That's repeated 7 more times.
What should I see in the cookies.txt? It's timestamped May 2013, and
I've used used PreferredSearch several times since.
Thanks for your help.

Bugs:
#2Uninstalling and Installing again doesn't remove the cookies.txt file (Windows doesn't take care of this, and the cookies.txt file is used in later logins to QuantumOnline despite installing new versions of PreferredSearch, it is a file storing the cookies QuantumOnline wants to facilitate their login). You will need to remove the cookies.txt file manually by deleting the file and restarting the PreferredSearch application after the cookies.txt file is deleted.

Mr Truog,
Deleting the cookies.txt file did the trick.
I've been using that file for two years--what might have changed that
would have made the file useless today?
Thanks for your help.

Bugs:
#2It seems to be a problem with the QuantumOnline authentication system changing causing an authentication failure, but the failure should be within the QuantumOnline server (it lacks backwards compatibility and must be assuming the client cookies won't get that old). It should not be a problem expiring old cookie data, since that should be handled normally in PreferredSearch.
It would be helpful if you would change your review to not have the error output. That shouldn't be normal operation of the application. Closing this bug for now, since the problem is resolved.
Done.
Again, thanks for your help.
