#1 Partial checkouts to adjust prj file
When doing partial checkouts of older versions of
files, the prj file is un-touched. This means a
checkin of the whole project checks in the older
versions as if they were updates to those files, not
restores to the older versions.
I typicaly do this when I roll back to an older
version because of a failed experiment. The "up-rev"
instead of "roll-back" behaviour of PRCS introduces
confusion in the version numbering of these files.
It would be nice if partial checkouts would adjust the
prj file so that the references to those files pointed
to the older versions. This would mean a checkin of
the whole project would correctly refer to the older
versions.
I realise that partial checkouts and checkins can
confuse the hell out of things, and that this might
introduce all sorts of problems with things like
merges. This might prove impractical, but I thought
I'd suggest it anyway :-)

Late response -- its not a bad idea, but it doesn't really
change the behavior of anything, does it? prcs checkin -l
would print a different message, for example, but it does
not really concern correctness. Am I right?
