This happens on 2 sided linedefs marked I but having a middle texture on both sides.
If i deconstruct the wad with deutex, open and save the level with yadex and rebuild it the HOM goes away and the middle texture is offset up.
Meant that to be HOM on 2.4.6 but not on 2.4.5 or 2.4.4

This has already been fixed in Prboom-plus (r2265 and r2266). If your problem does not appear in the current test version of Prboom-plus, then that would seem to confirm it.

I can't tease out *where* this occurs. I'm not enough of a programmer to figure out which file it's in. I did do a diff of 2.4.5 and 2.4.6 and tried to review it but failed. :(
This was a valid bug report and I copied the fix from prboom+ for the next prboom release.
Yes, my purpose here was to point in the direction of a possible fix, not to claim the report was invalid. :)
