Hello! Is there any people who can create port of pptp to Syllable? Now we have only unofficial port of pppd (to providing support of PPPoE). Syllable users want more network advantage, but we haven't free developers who can do it. www.syllable.org |

G'day, PPTP Client 1.3.1 has been released. This is a maintenance (bug fix) release to fix the inability to start multiple tunnels. Thanks to Chris Wilson for finding and fixing the problem. This release has not been through the same qualification test procedure as 1.3.0, but as the change is minimal and easily audited, I consider it suitable for immediate release. G'day, I've reviewed Frank Cusack's excellent defect removal work on CCP for MPPE recently committed to CVS, and I feel it is time for us to give it a try in the PPTP client project. I'm running it now, and it appears to be working fine, but I'd like some other people to give it a try. It's got a version identifier of 2.4.2b3 and date of 8 April 2003. I'm really looking for people who have already been using the ppp-2.4.2_cvs_20021120 RPMs or sources. Changes that I noticed from a review against 20021120 ... - preventing file descriptors from leaking to connect or pty scripts, - some kernel debugging changes, - disabling of ms-lanman option at build time, - MPPE options can be set by plugins (e.g. radius), - documentation of password and unit options. This should be the last one before 1.2.0 release, as there are changes
pending from Chris Wilson that I plan to push into 1.3.0.
I'm not happy with the amount of testing reported. There's just me and
one other person who's reported success with rc2.

Announcing rpm packages of the PPTP Client graphical user interface that will duplicate the functions of pptp-command. Features are; - configuration, starting, stopping, catching debug output from pppd, - yet to handle routing, though user interface is in place, - yet to handle resolv.conf changes. What I need from others; - does it work for you, - any design issues with the UI style, - any pixmaps of neat buttons I should use, - any functional points you think it should do that are not in TODO, - any defects in the code that aren't in the TODO.
