You have to add the line "modprobe ppp_mppe_mppc" to the end of the file rc.local located at /etc
one way to do this is:
Open a console as root with your root password, and then at the prompt, type this:

echo modprobe ppp_mppe_mppc >> /etc/rc.local

That's all. Next time you boot your Mandrake it will load the module into memory.
