To Use Portable PGP On a Thumb-drive. Do you need to have Administrative privileges, also does the PC your using it on does it have to have Non-portable PGP installed on it.. Most other Encryption portable Apps have to have one or both of them requirements..

    Thanks,

Do you need to have Administrative privileges
Is it true? I never tried before, but I don't see the need of that, as long
as you pass the env vars below to point to a writable file.
    set PUBLIC_KEYRING=path
    set PRIVATE_KEYRING=path

have Non-portable PGP installed on it.
This is definitely not true. Can I ask you to elaborate more on this?

    Regards,
    Primiano

Thanks for the effort at making pgp portable and easy to use !
    Here's a question : when generating a private key, I tried
changing key-length from the predefined defaut (1024) to 2048 bit,
the UI iterface accepter this BUT when initing the key generation process, an error message appeared saying the "strength" required was to big !

Is 1024 bits the maximum El-Gamal key length available ? Else what
higher key lengths are effectively allowed with this application ?
