Attached is a spec file for Caldera's Linux Technology preview. It has integration into COAS' on-boot start/stop and sysV init script support for LTP. No entry has been made yet for KDE menu integration of gpowertweak yet however. Note that you will also have to upgrade your libxml from 2.0.0 (which is shipped with LTP) to >= 2.4.0. I have a spec file for libxml-2.5.0. Since I am not the maintainer of libxml within Caldera, I have not included it here. If you're interested, let me know. Libxml-2.5.0 needed a patch against one of it's Makefile.am files in order to make it relocate header files correctly when passing DESTDIR= value through make. That change has already been applied to the libxml cvs tree I believe. If you're interested, I'll send the patch too. The spec file expects the tar file to be called powertweak-0.99.0.tgz and produce a directory called powertweak-0.99.0 (big suprise). Because of the macros used in the RPM, the COAS integration and the sysV init stuff, this will only build an RPM on Caldera's LTP, however, it should be enough to be the basis for you to modify and build on RH/Suse/Turbo/etc. Long live the LSB! Build once, run anywhere. Hopefully that will be the case soon... Anyway, enjoy! -- Marc C. http://www.calderasystems.com |
