Using 2.6.24 kernel I can't manage powersave mode. Actually I got following error when run $ powersave -c
liblazy (liblazy_dbus_send_method_call:97): Received error reply: Method "GetCPUFreqGovernor" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.CPUFreq" doesn't exist
Could not get current CPUFreq policy.
Hal version 0.5.10 acpid and hald are running.
The same error with laptop (with intel duo processor) and desktop (AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+).
Rolling back to 2.6.23 in laptop gave me acces to cpu frequensi scaling. My distro is Slackware.
Is that something special with 2.6.24?
