I'm having the following setup:
* Suse Linux 8.0
* Powerd 2.0.2 (RPM)
* Mustek PowerMust 400 UPS connected via serial
port /dev/ttyS0
Here's the bug:
Everytime I run the detectups program and unplug the
powerchord the UPS turns completely OFF.
When there's not serial cable attached to the UPS, I
can savely unplug the powercable and the UPS starts
beeping.
I tried the same thing on a Windows 98 PC with the
official Mustek Software and it works fine. The
batteries are fully recharged.
Does the software send out any signals to the UPS,
which may disturbe it.
Here's a the powerd.conf I setup on my own
afterwards, and it doesn't work either:
MODE MONITOR
MONITOR /dev/ttyS0
POWERFAIL CTS LOW
DELAY 300
USER xxxxxx
When I plug the serial cable into /dev/ttyS1 (while
having the program configured to look at S0), the UPS
works fine. This looks to me like a wrong signal beeing
send.
