Steering behaviour is very common approach for AI. This project instead uses potential for modeling AI and behaviour. The advantage is that a potential can be easily visualized and combined which allows a very intuitive access to solve different problems/goals. The forces can be easily computed by an spacial derivation. Downside is an increased computational affort (working on this).
