this is a planned feature indeed. The objective is to recreate the feature as it was in the original .net application (see attachment), where you could configure in granular details what an operator can and can't do. This feature is also a prerequisite for the self-service checkout feature. Unfortunately I can't cope with the huge amount of work this app needs and I take small steps given the free time available. So I can't tell you when this feature will see the light.
