I Willem,
I am replacing an MS Access database with postgresql and I was looking for a tool that would help me develop the front end for the postgresql database. PostSqlForms does not seem to be that tool. I need to build front that displays widows and dialog boxes with entry field, check boxes, buttons, etc. that the end-user will use.
PostSqlForms does not seem to provide this capability. Am I right or am I missing something?

With PostSqlForms you can make forms with one-line text entries, where the user types a value directly and with drop down boxes, where the user selects a value from a list of possible values.
For multi-line texts, the user can open a separate window by clicking on the '<->' button at the right of the text entry.
Whether that is sufficient for your end-user mainly depends on who that is going to be.
For an end-user who has no basic knowledge of databases, PostSqlForms is probably not well suited.
The strength of PostSqlForms is that you can rapidly set up forms and links between forms. Even if your end-user has no basic knowledge of databases, PostSqlForms may help you to rapidly implement a prototype of your final system.

Thank you Willem,
Although I think that PostSQLForms will be very helpful with testing queries and administering the database, my search goes on for a tool to help me build a "front-end" client application for the postgres database on the server.
I was trying to avoid using a web browser as the interface, but that may be what I have to do.
Thanks again,
Cindy
