Do I need any credential to clone Postgres XC from GIT repository.
I would like to test version 1.1.

You need no credential when fetching in read mode the GIT repo on
sourceforce. Use this URL to clone it:
git://postgres-xc.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/postgres-xc/postgres-xc
