I'm using 1.2.1 with gcc 4.7 on Amazon i3 instances.  I'm actually becoming somewhat suspect of the i3 platform running this specific version of ubuntu.  So, I've recompiled the entire database using the intel compilers and I'm going to see if I see the same behavioral problems I've seen in the last month and a half.

I will let you know.

Sorry for the late response.

What version are you using?   1.2.1 includes several fix for GTM connectivity.
