Yes, you can configure slaves for GTM, coordinator and datanode. Also, you can configure GTM, coordinator and datanode on the same server. http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/postgres-xc/index.php?title=PGOpen2013_Postgres_Open_2013 has a link to the presentation material in the last Postgres Open.
