[Postgres-xc-general] SQLSTATE[42P05]: Duplicate prepared statement

My code tries to insert a row, gets a unique constraint violation, catches
that error and ignores it, then attempts to insert a different row into a
different table, after acquiring a new database  connection.  I get the
following error when this second insert attempt is made:

SQLSTATE[42P05]: Duplicate prepared statement: 7 ERROR:  prepared statement
"pdo_stmt_00000002" already exists

Any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?
