In my case I have this kind of setup: - ro...@my...d - su...@my...d - bo...@my...d which is an alias to robert + susan where mydomain.tld is my local postfix. So here, the alias is done for local delivery but I understand your point if the domain would have been anotherdomain.tld. By the way, I found a workaround which is to insert manually bo...@my...d in the fetchmail table. Only offering mailboxes as targets mostly avoids this problem. However there is a workaround - every mailbox has an alias.
