When installing postfixadmin into another location than the webserver root (for example /postfixadmin/)and your login fails you will forwarded to /login.php if you the config as follows:

$CONF['postfix_admin_url'] = '';
$CONF['postfix_admin_path'] = dirname(__FILE__);

    Indeed.

    However, we might be able to auto-detect $CONF['postfix_admin_url'] from a $_SERVER value - moving to enhancement requests with reduced priority.
