using PfA 2.91 trunk, dovecot 2.1.17, postfix 2.9.6 Sending email to a user with a mailbox works fine. Sending mail to an alias does not work.

First and most obvious question: does your postfix configuration match POSTFIX_CONF.TXT?
Do you have any receive_override_options (especially no_address_mappings) set in main.cf or master.cf?
If in doubt, attach the result of "postconf -n" and the content of master.cf.
