    Hi,

    I was wondering if and how it is possible to setup an email alias for more than one mailbox...

    like:

                     ---->user1@foo.tld
    foo@bar.tld --->|
                     ---->user2@foo.tld

    or

    user1@bar.tld ---> ---->user1@foo.tld
                      |
                       ---->user2@foo.tld

    foo is an alias
    user1 and user2 are mailboxes

      Create the alias first, then edit the alias. ;)

        @Mischa: It would be a good idea to allow multiple alias targets when creating the alias already...

      Hi,

      I tested it and it works that way.... but now the user2.foo.tld gets the mails 2 times
      ok may fine ascii art  was damaged in first post, so new try.

      2 mailboxes user1.foo.tld and user2.foo.tld

      If I edit the alias of user1.foo.tld change it

      from:
      user1.foo.tld --> user1.foo.tld
      to:
      user1.foo.tld --> user1.foo.tld, user2.foo.tld

      then user2.foo.tld wil get the mails 2x.

      I "fixed" the behavior adding a mailbox user3.foo.tld and changed the alias to
      user1.foo.tld --> user2.foo.tld, user3.foo.tld

      now I have 3 mailboxes :-(

      Is there no nice way to make this mail copy thing?

      hi,

      for fix this, you should modify the master.cf file

      smtp x y z x smtpd receive_override_option=no_address_mappings

      in this case, postfix don't rewrite the alias 2 time!
