Open Postcode Database / News: Recent posts

Open Postcode DataBase intends to collect address data for postcodes - initally just UK postcodes, but eventually expanding to cover other countries.
It works from user submissions - visitors to the web interface to the project submit their street address (minus house name or number) and recording the address in the database. If a postcode already exists in the database, subsequent submitters of the same postcode are asked to validate the existing codes by voting for them.... read more
