Hello All, Thanks to Harry and Nexia for convincing me to try Post Nuke ;) I run a Science Fiction & Fantasy gaming network that currently comprises 11 sites all running Nuke 5 Shared (sharing not only user tables, but links, downloads and banners). but... Nuke has some major flaws, and does not do what I need it to do. I'm also sick of everytime I add a module having to screw around with all my main files.. As if you guys read my minds, it appears that all PostNuke modules are stand-alone..? Can someone confirm that..? I'm after some volunteers who are willing to help me by writing some new modules for my Network, primarily: A Product Database for gaming material A Product Release Date Module (may be easier to tie it into above database) A resume/job board module for use by gaming industry freelancers Of course I have all the specifics and requirements for the above, but no real clue of where to start. If the Post Nuke users/developers are more helpful than the Nuke team, then the full weight of FFN's support will fall behind you guys. I'm testing an installation of Post Nuke Mutant 6.2 today, to see whether it can handle sharing data between my other sites, if it can and I can actually get a forum to work with the shared user database, then I'll be converting all current and future FFN sites to PostNuke. I look forward to hearing from someone ;) regards Gary Thompson CEO & Webmaster The Fiction & Fantasy Network Proud Member of the Game Publishers Association (GPA) ICQ 64474072 |
