Hey guys! I'm really excited to see someone developing a open source video editor with focus on all the cool stuff in the high end video industry. I downloaded your release positron-0.1-win32.zip from SF and extracted it to a directory. Running it, I found it opened a window and immediately closed. I ran it from a command line and got this error.
MySQLdb Error 2003: Can't Connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

AttributeError: Impulse instance has no attribute 'semaphore'
Additionally I've been developing python apps for imaging, compositing, and video sequences and am interested in helping some if most of the work is being done in python. I would love to see the project go in a cross platform / compatibility / software only direction with options for plugin hardware acceleration. Smart. Thanks. Keep it rollin!
