This would be nice. But interfacing with the JAVA Portlet API
could be a real problem for something in PHP.
I'm not even sure that I could be able to support all of the
requirements needed to be Portlet API compliant.

    1. How do you think about to cooperate with the Java
Specification Request "Scripting Pages in JavaTM Web
    Applications"?
    http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=223

    2. Would anybody like to develop "phplets"?

    3. Are there any similarities between the class libraries?

    1. People at Zend (the maker of PHP) are already
    collaborating for that Java JSR.

    2. This is an idea, but creating a standard isn't something
    easy :)

    3. PHP and Java have nothing in common. To be able to tell if
there could be any similarities I would have to analyze the
    specs in full depth.

    1. Are you interested to use their results in the future?

It's sure that I'm interested. But I think that their effort will
be useful for Java developers more than it will be for PHP ones.

How do you think about to make a similar class and
framework structure available for PHP like it can be used with
    Java already.
    1. How can servlets be implemented by pure PHP classes?
    2. JavaServer Faces <=> PhpServer Faces
    3. JSP <=> PSP
