Hi to all,
I would like to try to acces to an ext3 partition which is in an usb drive from within windows xp without installining anything.
I need to access the partition both in read and write mode.
Can I use portable ubuntu? If yes, can you give me some explanation on how to install and configure it. I need a very minimal system, can I remove unused programs in order to reduce the disk space usage?
Yes. look at the comments in the configuration file in the config subdirectory and read the "readme" for version 4 in the files section of this project. The comments in the configuration file will tell you how to mount the directory that you want to access read/write when pubuntu boots or mount it with the mount command after Pubuntu starts up. Pubuntu is not installed. Just decompress to a directory and run it.
