I've installed poptrayu and ssl plugin with administrative rights, in order to use it with my user rights accounts.
I've added a Gmail account but i just can't get my emails. "Connection closed gracefully" or whatever... pop and imap are checked in my gmail account.
Please could you help me solve this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance.

try opening the "advanced" button on the accounts configuration page. Change the Authentication mode to "password". And make sure use ssl/tls is checked. And if you aren't using the latest poptrayu edition, update it since I fixed a bug related to this issue in the last release.

Greetings!
My setting for Use SSL/TLS is grayed out.
The server is imap.gmail.com. The port is 143.
The protocol is IMAP4 and I checked, the gmail account is IMAP enabled.
Can you help explain why this needed setting is grayed out?
Usually it is giving me the gracefully message, sometimes timing out.
Any help appreciated. I really like the design of the program.
Steven
Steven, have you installed the SSL plugin? see https://sourceforge.net/projects/poptrayupop3ssl/ Most of the time this will solve the issue
I had not. Tried it, added two .dll to the folder with the .exe
libeay32.dll
ssyeay32.dll
However, still grayed out, still the same message.

Good news!
On a reboot of Windows 7, the checkbox for SSL/TLS lost its grayness!
And my test shows "Login OK"
Thanks!
Glad it's working now :)
