    Hi, I have a problem, for some time now, with the "indicating messaging" icons indicating the message status. It seems that almost all my emails are being indicated as SPAM by default....?!     l've looked into addding OAuth2 support,but the biggest obstacle is that OAuth2 is a pay to play platform… it's a big part of how they authenticate and prevent bad players… hosts have to spend an obscene amount of money for essentially a n background check. To work around that is really clunky and would require each user to set up their own sandbox oauth2 host not subject to commercial requirements. So unfortunately, no plans ro implement oauth2

    As the subject says. The settings are set so set that the server trash folder is NOT used. Deleting one or more mails from the list of new mails doesn't work most of the time. Deleting while inside a preview works always. Setting to use the server trash folder doesn't change the behaviour. Using version 5.3.0 together with a Web.de account.

    I'm having the same problem. PoptrayU has no problem fetching the email headers from Zoho, but when I try to preview an email, the preview window opens then immediately closes with the error message, "Unable to retrieve message. Connection closed gracefully." I have no problem with my main email client (Thunderbird), and Zoho says that they don't see an error thrown when PoptrayU tries to access the server. I've checked SSL/TSL, and I'm on port 995.

    Oleg, it depends on the settings you picked when you installed poptrayu. the ini file may be in your user data folder (under c:\users) under your username and appdata and poptrayu.

    I have caused the error myself! I made it too easy for myself and used the PopTray.ini from version 5.0.15 for version 5.3.0 to save me having to create the accounts again. The PopTray.ini from version 5.0.15 is too old and not compatible with version 5.3.0. I reinstalled version 5.3.0, re-created the accounts and it works fine.

    I'm using PoptrayU 5.0.15 with t-online and Yahoo mail on Windows 10 so far. For Yahoo mail I had to create an app password at Yahoo for it to work. I have now updated PoptrayU to 5.3.0. The interval check only works once. When I check again, I get an error message for all accounts and have to kill the task for PoptrayU. I only have the PopTray.ini and Rules.ini from PoptrayU 5.0.15 transferred to version 5.3.0 -- Regards VanFlusen mailto:VanFlusen@yahoo.com

    yes, can confirm that PopTrayU is only available as a 32 bit application. This is due to the version of Delphi developer studio that I own being not expensive enough to include the 64 bit features. I have created an updated installer for the SSL plugin for 1.0.2u as well over at the PopTrayU SSL plugin page on sourceforge

    Login to your Gmail account online. Click on the photo (or letter) in the upper-right corner and choose “Manage your Google Account”. Click on “Security” on the left.     gmail is tricky because they strongly prefer oauth2 authentication and the library poptrayu uses foremail protocols doesn't support that, so I'm going to have to reinvent the wheel a bit to implement that… and that probably won't be coming until august or september when i have time to work on implementing that. until then, you have to change your asettings to allow access by "less secure" apps,or set up an app specific password. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833

    At startup (PopTrayU 5.2.9) a connection error with a Gmail account is popup. The Technical Information says Error Type: "EIdReplyPOP3Error". Unable to Authenticate. The Username and Password included in the account tab are correct, of course, and I have no problem to access the account from Web.

    Downloading gets stuck. Aborting it sometimes crashes. Annoying. I can see list of e-mails and delete them without previewing them though. I am using https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/openssl-1.0.2u-i386-win32.zip and a new (4 days old), updated 64-bit W10 Pro PC.     I can confirm that the top pane sometimes gets black and that the "buttons" Add Account, Delete Account, Test Account, Export, Import can then be hard to see.     No problem Jessica. I meant it mostly as a comment and not as a request for a bug fix. (We don't even know yet for sure what will happen!) For me personally it's not a big deal since I hardly ever use my gmail account anyway. But yeah, if in February it turns out to be a problem, let us see how it evolves.     Sorry, tried posting this before but it showed "anonymous" and didn't show up. Yahoo has announced that it will make changes on 10/20 preventing logins from "third party apps" like PopTray without certain changes. Aside from downloading their app (which I don't want) the other option is to generate a third-party app password to use, but unfortunately, they say that will only work if you remain logged in to the app, which means never turning off any machines.     I added an address to the black list, which is set to delete items found there; I then asked poptrayU to check mail. It did so, but the blacklisted item was still there. I checked the blacklist itself, and the address was there. I then restarted PTU and checked again. This time the item was deleted. This suggests that PTU isn't re-loading the blacklist when it's changed. (My recollection is that PopTray did so, but I could be wrong).     Jessica. I'm afraid it's a persistent problem. When Poptrayu checks an account and encounters error 10054, each and every time it tries to check that account from now on, manually or automaticaly, it will always encounter error 10054 and it is not a connection problem because by restarting PoptrayU completely, that is, closing the program and running it again, the problem disappears. Yes, error 10054 is a legitimate TCP error. The problem is that PoptrayU does not solve it correctly.

    Been super-loyal fan of Poptray, and then PoptrayU, since earliest days. Suddenly this morning, Gmail is blocking access from PoptrayU, saying it is an insecure app! And I can't seem to find a way to get it to trust Poptray U. This is on two computers with Win 8.1; on my Android phone I use the Gmail app so no issue, but I want to access my Gmail as usual from home using PoptrayU. Any suggestions?

    Hello. I don't know if this is a bug or me not understanding how it works. I currently have 24 or so POP3 email accounts being checked by PopTrayU. I have recorded unique wav files for each, so the audible announcement tells me exactly which account has received an email. Unfortunately the announcement seems to only occur on the first account it hits where a new email has arrived. Is there a way to have it perform the announcement for each account? I rely on the audible announcement to determin whether...

    Been using PopTrayU forever (and PopTray before that) and love it. Suddenly today something happened. PopTray checks as usual and shows that there's mail, but the interface won't open, neither by just clicking the icon in the systray (which is how I usually do) nor rightclicking and clicking "Show Messages".     Thank you for thereply. Since your suggestion I have downloaded and installed the beta version. Unfortunately there were no notice3able changes as far as the error messages are concerned. I ran the program as an administrator as well as regular user, and even in compatability mode, but the errors still showed up as before.

    I use PopTrayU with 9 different accounts, all same location on GoDaddy's servers, all accounts configured the same. Only recently 1 of 9, returns this Error. However, I can open Thunderbird or go to Webmail and have no isssues checking this 1 Account that keeps returning Error 10054. I have uninstalled PopTrayU v3.2 and reinstalled, PopTray.ini personal configuration has not changed over the last 8 years. If I receive Notification via PopTray of e-mail, if I see it is Spam, I will Open GoDaddy Webmail...

    I had this and I found out that it lost the config after each exit. So I copied a working ini file before start inside of a batch file. copy C:\Tools\PopTrayU\PopTray.ini.sav C:\Tools\PopTrayU\PopTray.ini start "" C:\Tools\PopTrayU\PopTrayU.exe After some other system changes in regional settings PopTray magically works with no problems gain.
