No

Yesterday I entered a request that POPfile support
patterns in magnets, perhaps via Perl-style regular
expressions. Today my request seems to have
disappeared, so I'm entering it again.

This capability would increase the flexibility of marking
specific patterns to go to specific folders.

I received a reply:

We already do clever stuff inside POPFile to handle things
like V*I*A*G*R*A etc so there's no need to do it in
magents.

HOWEVER, after a month and a half, I am still getting
only 95% accuracy with POPmail. Even the last three
days, POPmail marked as spam about four messages
that were not. I would like to increase the accuracy so
I can have POPmail and Outlook automatically delete
some of the spam, but I can't do it when it keeps
marking an occasional good message as spam.

The example I gave of 'v|i|a|g|r|a' was just one
example. Most spam I get these days seems to have
various misspelled versions of a few dozen common
words, often with non-letters interspersed among the
letters.

Please consider this request, and don't delete it.

...And I'd be interested in knowing what the 'clever
stuff' is....

Cheers, you really do have a very good system here.
