I would like to get a statistical report based on a
dynamic start date.
In other words, I'd like to ask for statistics starting on
xx/xx/xx to present. This way you can look at statistics
for the last month, the last week, the last day, etc.
without having to reset the statistics.
Why? I'd like to see how good PF has been at filtering
my email in the last month/week/day. But I don't want
to reset my statistics and permanently lose all that data.

Scott Leighton has produced a small utility which lets you
export POPFile's statistics in a format which can be
imported into a spreadsheet so you can analyse the data in
many different ways. This might suit your requirements.
A description, download links and sample output can be found at

Yes, at a glance it looks like Scott Leighton's utility will
provide the date I'm looking for. However, this utility requires
use of the task scheduler, which I have disabled because of
the resources it uses and the instability it causes (Win98).
Still it would be great to have this built right into the UI. I do
realize that this isn't exactly a critical feature that adds
important functionality, but it would be a neat feature that a
lot of users might like to use.

Although it is suggested at
http://www.geocities.com/helphand1/snapshot_stats.htm
to use the Task Scheduler to collect the stats regularly, you
could just execute it manually whenever you want, or put a
shortcut in your startup folder to execute after POPfile is
completely running.
