#641 Single Message View: "Hide Tags" option for HTML

No

I sort my spam into "clean" spam and porn. To train
POPFile effectively, I sometimes need to look at the
content of a message, though I prefer not to do so in
an environment where it is rendered in all of it's
potentially smutty glory. If the "Single Message View"
page had an option to surpress HTML tags, the job of
reviewing the content would be much easier, especially
when the sender obfuscates the content by placing a
tag between every few characters of text.

The Single Message View will show the raw HTML without any
further rendering so you will not see porn images for
    example.

The other idea is to strip HTML tags. I don't want to add an
option to do that because it seems unnecessary.

    John.

Yes, the summary for this request already implies that Single
Message View shows HTML and the title and summary both
explicitly state that I would like an option to strip tags.

Of course this is not strictly "necessary" though I explain why
it would be a nice feature in the last sentence of my
summary: lots of spam emails obfuscate their content with
bogus tags. Other times, the email is just highly formatted
with legitimate HTML. In either case, the single message view
is of limited usefulness unless I can supress the HTML and
see what the textual content is.

Bogus HTML tags in the middle of words:
This is a very cheap trick, and it seems to fool POPFile. I
don't want to be rude, but PF should really be able to see
through a thing like this. I enclose an example. If you strip
the tags as described by Matt then you can read it
perfectly. I am not at all bothered about the 'Single Message
View' in PF's user interface; what bothers me is that POPFile
    is unable to recognise the
    word 'P<zhftnyxbmchkm>en<qhohqagiwxhqc>is'.

Oh, I have just discovered that allegedly PF _can_ see
    through this:
    http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?
    thread_id=1057928&forum_id=232988
So why do these spams always get through?
