#1047 Program Hang

Windows XP Pro, Windows Media, Windows server 2003. Popfile v.0.22.5

If the mail server hangs up for some reason, such as malformed mail, Popfile goes into an unrecoverable state. Silent exit and restart results in multiple Icons on the system services line.

Suggest you set up timeout or retry counter. If mail cannot be retrieved, skip it, or delete it from the server. If this is too extreme, restart Popfile and wait for another read command.

Admittedly, this is hard to test. You might try setting a "fake" mail server address that will cause a hang, and try to launch the user interface, which will not come up. You will see a "Web site found" message, but the UI will never appear.

This is a GREAT Program. Tremendous job and kudos!!!
