I'm attempting to copy my corpus and settings from one Windows XP machine to another. The current machine is running POPFile v0.22.4. The new machine has a different set of Windows users set up, so there will be a name/path change.
From reading the Backup/Restore/Transfer documentation online, I think the only files I will need to transfer for my purposes are popfile.db and popfile.cfg.
Can I install the current POPFile v0.22.5 on the new machine, then replace those two files? Will there be snags, either because of the POPFile version change or the name/path change?
Is there a better way to do it?
Thank you!

Yes, you can just replace those files if you shutdown POPFile first. The installer creates a Start Menu shortcut which displays the location of the User Data folder:
Start -- All Programs -- POPFile -- Support -- PFI Diagnostic utility (simple)
Sometimes a version upgrade involves converting the database format so it is best to run the "POPFile User Setup wizard" on the new system after copying the files. The wizard will perform the necessary conversion work and display some progress messages (some upgrades can take a long time!).
This wizard also resets all of the user-specific path information and environment variables (the wizard is actually a sub-set of the POPFile installer).
The wizard (adduser.exe) is installed in the POPFile program folder (the PFI Diagnostic utility will display the location for you).

If you also want to transfer your message history you may find my User Data Backup/Restore utility useful:
