Created a few magnets manually. Some of the magnets
were "From @domain.com" (i.e., a wildcard to magnetize
all mail from that domain). I then pasted a list of
200 e-mail addresses into the Values textbox, and told
POPFile to magnetize all of the addresses when the main
is FROM them. It refused to add the list because it
incorrectly thought that one of the addresses was a
conflict with the wildcarded domain. The domain names
were completely different. Further, it would not add
any of the addresses to the list because one was a
duplicate. SUGGESTED FIXES: (1) When a duplicate
address is found, skip only that address, log/report a
warning message, and process the rest of the addresses.
(2) When a domain or other text is wildcarded, still
allow the user to add specific addresses that use that
domain. Issue a warning message, but add the address.
SUGGESTED FEATURE ENHANCEMENTS: (1) Allow users to
upload or paste whitelists nd assign the entire list to
one bucket. (2) Increace the width of the Values
textbox so the values can actually be read.

POPFile should not be used for a whitelist. Using a whitelist hurts POPFile's ability to learn the difference between your good mail and your spam which can make POPFile much less effective. You are better off creating a whitelist that ignores POPFile's classification in your mail program for those addresses. See:
http://getpopfile.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?FrequentlyAskedQuestions/Whitelists
The problems you found though are bugs and should be fixed so I will leave this bug open.
