Could you swap the order of the workflow for interactions.
We think it would make more sense to do the evidence code selection step first. This way they will know if they are curating in the correct direction

I am making this low priority, we will raise it if it confuses people, but I think it is fine, it would be nice but in light of
(3) will take a bit of work as the workflow is quite hard-wired at the
moment. I'll work on it.

it isn't a necessity unless it confuses people.

At present, you start on the page for gene A, and

    1. select genetic or physical interaction
    2. select the other gene(s) that interact (gene B)
    3. choose evidence

I thought this request was to change to

    1. select genetic or physical interaction
    2. choose evidence
    3. select gene B

(not that I have a strong preference either way)

Ha, ha, I am upping the priority of this. Considering how many interactions we have curated in the wrong direction I think it might make sense to look at this again.
    We can decide on Friday

Would you want to change the workflow just for the interactions? Is that going to be inconsistent?

This change would probably resolve some of the BioGRID issues.

We should look into this as soon as all of the multigene related stuff is through

    comment from
    https://sourceforge.net/p/pombase/curation-tool/671/
which I am closing as is almost exact duplicate

To me, it would be more clear if teh workflow was changed from
    A. choose interactor 1, B. choose interactor 2, C. choose evidence code
    to
    A. choose interactor 1, B. choose evidence code, C. choose interactor 2
this is because in the descriptions to the evidence code it says, for instance, "phenotypic enhancement (phenotype enhanced by)" which, in the workflow, would make it
gene 1 phenotype enhanced by gene 2

We might need to open a new ticket which is clearer tho'
