Today we noticed that the term

GO:0006467 protein thiol-disulfide exchange (BP)
had merged into
protein disulphide isomerase activity (MF)

but
GO:0006467 was still showing as a BP annotation in canto.

What happens when terms are merged from different ontologies ?
I think we should probably report these in the logs so we can check is we still want to make the annotation....

For Canto, the annotations which move aspect should move to be displayed under the new aspect

Canto uses the term IDs internally and not the names and aspects. GO:0006467 is now an alt_id of "protein disulfide isomerase activity" so it should show as that. Could you send me a link to the session where you saw this?

If the merge is recent, maybe Canto hadn't caught up? The ontologies are only update once per day.

Its been removed from the session it was spotted in. I don't think the merge happened recently though.
This isn't a big issue. I'll keep it open with low priorty and see if we find another example. I suspect it occurs very rarely

Thanks. I can't think I a way it could happen, so I'll need an example to debug it.
