Hi. Love the browser. I cant wait to try the Android version as my Win 8.1 2 gig of ram tablet is dual boot.
My problem with the name is it makes it hard to search for this browser in google. Most search results come back with people wanting to make a browser their default browser. Even adding the tag Sourceforge with it doesn't help. This is an Awesome fast browser that can do everything one needs more effeciently than most and more people need to know it.
Therefore my suggestion is that you rename the browser to something like "Priority One" with the understanding that low resources and fast speed in a full capacity browser is Priority One. It might help the search engies treat the broiwser request more in the broswer's favor.
..Just my thoughts..Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions and I am happy that you are liking the browser. I have tried methods in boosting Polarity in search results and tried spreading it around in forums. It has worked for a while, but it wasn't as effective as I thought. I will take renaming the browser into consideration.
As a side note, I am the only developer of Polarity and currently studying computer science by myself. If you like my program, feel free to spread the word. It would mean a lot to me.
Glad that you are liking the browser and thank you for your feedback.

I actually like the name Polarity, and in DuckDuckGo, the official website was the first result.
However, there are some technical issues I'm having with it.
1. Many of the websites do not render properly (ex. neowin.net).
2. Can you please make the adblocker support Adblock Plus subscription lists? Currently, it doesn't block many ads for me since I live in Israel.
3. I simply love the middle-click gesture for opening and closing tabs, as well as opening new tabs from links.
4. Opening a new Trident tab causes a MASSIVE memory leak which freezes the browser (and taking up nearly 200MB of RAM).
I'm using Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10532, Polarity Portable 7.0.8.
I'm waiting for Polarity to work properly before I install it, when I do, it will be my primary browser.

Hello Moriel. Thanks for the feedback. Currently I am working on a massive update for Polarity which includes an updated build of Chromium. However given my current work schedule, I have less time apportioned to developing Polarity at the moment. So yes, I am currently working on the website rendering issues.
I have contacted the developers of AdBlock Plus for a proposal to build AdBlock Plus right into the browser itself, but they have turned it down since I believe that they are working on their own web browser now.
As for the Trident tab, the majority of the memory leak comes from the Trident engine itself. I will try my best to rectify it in future releases.
Once again, than you for your input. If you like Polarity, please share it with others. I would really appreciate that.

No problem, I'd be more than happy to help out.
I have already mentioned the browser to a friend (Unfortunately, most people around me have no idea what I'm talking about when it's computer-related), but I'll try my best.
Do you have a banner that I can put on my wesite? I don't use web building tools, prefering to code by myself (although, I'm extremely behind, I have a lot of catching up to do, I'm learning independently, by I do have goals that are very far out).
If you wish, I can help out with translating to Hebrew.
Bugs in the Polarity Portable 7.0.9:
1. Settings keep on resetting on close (except for experimental settings).
2. When browser is set to ask you whether to save or discard tabs, discarding fails to close the browser.
3. Browser crashes when tring to open anything out of the settings window when aforementioned window is open.
4. Opening settings or new tab causes the browser to become unresponsive for a few moments with 0% CPU and ~11MB RAM usage, did not test out the Trident Tabs yet.
I recommend putting Settings, Downloads, Extensions, and Themes, in Tabs, similar to Firefox and Chrome (I'm a heavy Firefox user, however am looking for a lightweight alternative).
And no need for Adblock Plus to be integrated, you can configure the Polarity adblocker to use Adblock Plus Lists (they are just text files, after all), as well as add an option to add custom adblocking rules.
I may answer late (I'm extremely absent-minded) however I'm here and you can call on me if you need help, although things such as translations should be done offline and via email (that way I won't forget to do them).
I'm still on the same build, however I'll be upgrading soon (when I'll have time, I always do a clean install, even on TH2, even if I have to create the ISO from an ESD).
And don't worry, no pressure from here, when you will release a new version, you will release it, no need for it to be earlier or later then that time, so I have patience.

Gotcha. I appreciate you trying to spread the word. Thank you. :)
I do have a banner (from a long time ago), but I'll probably redesign a new one for the more recent iteration of Polarity. The banner is a .png so I'm sure you can implement it on your site if you want with very little trouble. I understand why you would prefer to avoid web builders since I'm also learning other languages at the moment too.
I've just tested and released Polarity 7.1.0 Portable and I can't seem to reproduce the issue. I'm sure that you have extracted the folder out of the archive to use it. However, where you extract it does play a role since UAC in Windows may prevent Polarity from writing files in a specific directory.
So far I've been devoting most of my time to Polarity 8 to improve on the responsiveness on the browser. So far things are snappier with more multithreading. Unfortunately, I would have to drop support of Windows XP in order to take advantage of newer functionality within Windows to help speed the browser up. And the Chromium build is incompatible with Windows XP.
I would be really happy if you could help translate the browser to Hebrew. I really don't have anything set up for it at the moment, but I will try to set a place where anyone can contribute their translations publically (probably Github).
A UI refresh is due for Polarity and I will try to shift the browser settings to open in a new tab instead of a new window. I agree that it would be a better implementation.
Thank you for understanding the time constraints that I have. I will definitely try my best to keep people informed about updates as much as possible.

Just tested out Polarity Portable 7.1.0 on build 10547, and I can verify that all of the issues that I had posted are fixed.
Additionally, I had tested out the Trident tabs, and I have to say, you did a great job, no more browser freezes, however RAM usage is a bit higher (by about 30MB).
There is a minor bug in which the app bar appears when opening the menu, however it dissappears if you click on anything.
And it would be nice to be able to access the full menu from the Trident tabs as well.
But all in all, great progress, and I don't think that you need to focus too much on these 2 issues.
On another note, how will I be able to translate Polarity, as I had never translated a windows app, only one Android app (MiXplorer) and translating another.
I have to say, although in my opinion Polarity isn't ready (even by my standards (I generally run nightly/daily/pre-release software) to be installed as a daily driver, I was tempted to do so after this update.

I'm glad that the new update fixed some of the performance issues from 7.0.9 I will try to think of a system where anyone can contribute. Polarity has quite a lot of text in the program and translating took me quite a while. More news will be coming soon, but I have to get back to school work so I don't slip.

Polarity Portable 7.1.2 on Build 10565.
Polarity fails to load for me, and when I tried running polaritylauncher it threw up an error message stating that it can't access D:\ÚserName\Polarity_Config\OnApps, even if I placed it in C (Replace UserName with whatever user it is).
I had recently moved the user folders from D:\Users\~ to D:\~ to better fit in with the new system in Windows 10 (/8?), so it might have to do with it.
And like always, I extracted the folder to my desktop, although when I moved it to test it against that error, I always placed it in directories that I have full access to.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Hmm. That is pretty weird. That error usually pops up when the application is not given permission to read any of the files in the directory. I did not modify anything related to the file directories from Polarity 7.1.1 to 7.1.2.

Trident tabs now use ~53MB RAM, as opposed to around 200-230MB from before.
